Same unit that I had, did the same thing too. From what I know, the ducer isn't interchangeable but honestly I never really looked into it.

Best bet is to haul out. It may be your only bet too....

Likely a Datamarine unit... from 30+ years ago. Mine did the same so I picked up a Raymarine ST60 unit on eBay for ~$150 and called it good. Now I just need to haul out and put the ducer in.

Going to need a few more details than just "round" and where it's mounted. Is it your xducer that's round or your gauge? Make? Model?

I'm a fan of the "privacy" that my ports provide and don't want such a clear window. I used the 3M rubbing compound (they were BAD), followed by Meguiars Clear Plastic Clean and Clear Plastic Polish....
