Yes Paul. I am indeed getting full throttle at the lever. Thanks Barry I did figure that out as well.

Update...

I pulled the exhaust again and got tons of built up carbon out. Huge pieces....

A little more info....

This happens in neutral, so that takes the prop and prop shaft out of the equation.

I cleaned the air filter and tried it and no difference. I removed the exhaust elbow...

Thanks! My jib sheets are run through adjustable jib track on the deck, tun back to a block on the toe rail then up to the winch. I'll check on those turnbuckles.

Gonna hold off for a day, Wednesday and Thursdays forecast is way better. Current forecast for Tuesday is 30 knots wind and 9ft waves with a 7 second interval. No Thank you.
