If you look at the press conference from the rescuers they basically say: 'this is our job.'

They don't say it directly, but the cost of the rescue has already been paid.... If you have a coast...

To circumnavigate --- do you have to cross the equator? I was wondering why the Kiwi Spirit didn't start in New Zealand (and finish) --- his homeland... but I have seen a couple solo navigators have...
