Re: c&c 35 mk3

I've got the same boat. No one seems to know where in the bilge the drain goes. Chances are if you are that heeled over that much that water is coming in along the toe rail. The bolts probably...

Re: Extra rope/lines for a new boat

+1 on the dock lines and fenders. Sail tape, rigging and duct tape (white)
I pick up spool ends at my local chandlery for less than $5. They become extra sail ties, etc. Pick up an 80 to 100...

Re: EPIRB battery replacement

The EPIRb has a 5 year expiration date on a label. You can buy the batteries, but not the labels!

Re: EPIRB battery replacement

If you plan to race offshore, the DIY job will not meet ISAF regs. I'll be selling my EPIRB for that reason.

Re: Do I need new sails

Photos would help! What sort of boat?
If you are happy with the sails, then no.
If you can't point as high as you should, that's an indication that the sails might be shot. If you heel...

Re: Hello Sailnet.. new P28 here

Doug,

Yes, that's Thoe! Make sure the base of the mast is solid or the step has been raised. You have a great boat!
If you are down by South River, I have a C&C 35/3, The Office.

Re: Tacktick wind direction failed

I'd check with RayMarine. Sounds like the transmitter is bad. I had the opposite situation - direction worked fine, speed was erratic. Luckily it was under warranty or it would have been a $200...
