Re: Something to Watch for New Battery Technology

Re: Islander Freeport 36

Thanks!, Bob.. That means a lot, coming from you.
I thought my dog would be more understanding and solicitous (see picture), but no, just comes around when we're eating dinner, looking for handouts.

Re: Islander Freeport 36

Having just broken my arm at the elbow yesterday and in a cast, all I want to do is straighten the sucker just once.

Whenever I had gone to the lien sales in Berkeley, all the boats should have been...

Re: Where to donate boat in So Cal?

You could donate the boat to the Aquatic Center in Mission Beach, San Diego. I like them a whole lot more.

Re: What kind of boat is this?

Until proven otherwise, the ship you're interested in is none other than the famous Fart Knocker; the only ship to sail the seas of Uranus.

You could also throw in ebay, latitude 38, catamaransite, and others I'm probably forgetting at the moment.

This one might be near where you live: S2 Sailboat *** S2 9.2 CC *** 30' Cruiser (http://richmond.craigslist.org/boa/4018910249.html)

Frankly though, I'd look around for something 32 feet and...

Re: Long Range WiFi -- Posting right now using "long range" wireless

Very unhappy with the overpriced, underpowered "The Wirie". And, if you don't get it back to them very quickly, they will keep your money. Count on zero refund if you fall outside their 10-day return...

Re: Looking for a liveaboard, don't want to die in the ocean.

I haven't read all the replies, but at 6'5", be sure to lie down in the berth(s) of whatever boat you're looking at. Something like the Fantasia 35 has enough headroom (and windage), but always check...
