I have a westerbeke 44 and the same style of heat exchanger. Remove the end cap screw on the heat exchanger. Put a thin flat edge screwdriver to pry off the end cap, and it should just pop off. You...

Re: Oceanis 38 to buy or not to buy

I have the Oceanis 393, 2003 model year, and enjoy her a lot. I sail with little kids, and so need to be able to handle most of the tasks single handedly. The in-mast reefing is a bonus for that....

Re: Western Shore, Middle Bay marina/yard advice

I keep my boat in the South marina when in the water, roughly first week in March through first of December. Very nice people to deal with, and all the people who work out of the North marina will...

I just did this with my 39 footer, and bulb keel. I found one gallon of the 2000e covered the boat bow to stern, and then did 5 coats over a few weeks. The time between coats is up to a few weeks,...

Yes, I agree that the little glass fuse isn't inline with the windlass. It is there to close a relay, when the engine is running, to allow the main line for the windlass to give it power. If the...

The radio went off when I pulled the other one, so I guess that it goes over to the panel. I have no idea why the fuse is in the engine compartment for the radio...

Mine is not an excharter, and I have fuses in both slots. They are horizontal just like you show, but I can only speak to the function of one of the fuses. Definately controls the windlass.
Let me...

I don't have the 361, but I own an Oceanus 393 from the same year. I know the fuses work my ancho windlass, or at least one of them does.
They work a relay that is in my forward head right behind...

Finally found the solution. Turns out the autopilot dumped the memory, and so had to be completely recalibrated. Dockside calibration, then compass calibration at sea with a couple of circles to...

Hey Everyone. First time posting here.
I have a Beneteau 393 that has an E-80 chart plotter, linked together with a Raymarine ST60 tridata, ST6000 autopilot and a ST 60 windspeed indicator. There...

We chartered the Texsun, catamaran, 40 foot. Small things like no anchor light, broken fan covers, steering cable jumped its track and we lost steering in an anchorage. Mostly easy stuff to fix,...
