Thanks for the suggestions, Ilenart

Re: Diesel leak at tank connection

Hi Minnewaska,

Issue at the moment is the connector where the clear plastic pipe attaches is pointing down. The clear pipe shows how much fuel is in the tank. I may be able to use a longer...

Re: Boats like S&S 34

I think that Jeff and Casey are both correct.

I have also heard plenty of comments that my UFO 34 was also designed with all the crew perched out to weather. However the fact is the boat sails...

Re: Boats like S&S 34

The S&S 34 was built in West Australia in a number of versions. Mark 1 had the skeg. Mark II was built with a spade rudder (also a taller twin spreader rig and a "Mk 2" keel). I changed my old...

Re: Boats like S&S 34

My yacht, a UFO 34 is very similar to a S&S 34 and here in Perth they used to race in the same fleet. However on Sail Calculator the numbers look pretty different. The two diagrams below show the...

Re: Bruce Roberts 34

I would say that a Bruce Roberts 34 is an average design. Depending where you are, there are a lot of other 34 ft yachts that would have better upwind performance ie S&34, UFO 34, Van De Stadt 34,...
