Yes there are nuts on the machine screws.On my C37 they can be accessed from inside the bulwark-it helps to have small hands

Headstay:9/32"
Backstay:9/32"
Uppers: 9/32"
Forward&aft lowers: 1/4"
forestay -cutter: 1/4"
running backs-cutter:3/16
