I had a dream that I built a SSB and it was evidently alot cheaper. Has anyone done this and if I do pursue this dream what wattage do I need for a strong sailing, world cruising set-up?:hothead

We have not pulled the trigger as of yet but this is a real subject that we have discussed quite a bit. I know that if your willing to do just about anything and are somewhat handy you can survive....
