It appear as though the company that provides our Chat feature recently updated their software and now one of their modules is being 'mis-classified' by Norton/Symantec and possible containing a virus. Until they have this resolved we have de-activaed chat. We've opened a support incident with Envolve and they will hopefully have this corrected soon.

Re: Apparently I'm not meant to have a boat...
I should add to Jimgo - we found it really fun and rewarding to do the work ourselves. It was fun to learn to do everything as we went. It's not for everyone, but it can be surprising to see what you...

Re: Apparently I'm not meant to have a boat...
I know where you're coming from, and you're right. If you're keeping the boat for sure, might as well build her to your desire (whether through sweat equity or financially, or both). It makes all the...

Ah, I see you've heard of it..
Nice. I almost went with the Cape Horn but decided against it in the end due to it sucking up the lazzerette space with it's mechanics (I know Yves makes a model...

Re: Apparently I'm not meant to have a boat...
Atlantic could haul my Alberg, I don't see why it couldn't haul you out as well. As far as the work goes, if you're looking for someone to do the work, I know the guy that has a shop at Atlantic...

Re: Apparently I'm not meant to have a boat...
My view on these matters is biased. It's easy to waste a lot of money and time on an old boat because you love the boat.
I really meant to express that one should try to take a critical eye when...

Sorry to hear it, bummer.
My view is that it's a bad idea to get sentimental with boats, I'd take the opportunity to move on.

New bottom coating perhaps?
I ran across this, and naturally it made me wonder how well it would repel bottom growth. I bet it would really benefit racers as well. Neat stuff, it'd be sweet if it could work with no more...

Re: Why is this a bad idea?
I like it, there is no reason it wouldn't work in your application. The only drawback would be the peanut gallery on the water harumphing at your DIY solution and straying from the norm.

Re: What kind of paint for my boat? Motor mount
Brightside for the hull will be fine. You'll need to roll a "freshen up" coat on each season (or two). It'll look great if done right, but it will scratch easily (but can easily be touched up).
