Re: Electric Windlass preferances

I have the Lofran Tigres on my 37. Very happy with it. The rope drum is very handy for lifting the dinghy aboard.

A couple of times the chain has stacked up and I've had to go down and shove the...

Re: Deck locker for PS37

When I was looking to buy my 37 I saw one online that had a locker either on the foredeck or coachroof just forward of the mast. Perhaps with some diligent googling you can find an image of that...

Re: Holding tank cabin odor, is it a bad hose?

I've been lucky enough to have had the opportunity to change the head hoses on both of the boats I've owned. With a little planning it's not a bad job.

Flush the system as much as you can with...

Re: New Generation Anchor on the 37

FYI the 34 and 37 are rather different at the bow with the 37 having a stainless tube bowsprit.

I download and printed the template for the Mantus 45 and tried it on my 37….I really don't think...

Re: Nexus Autopilot lurches left?

It kind of sounds as if the compass for the Nexus is being affected when the auto pilot is engaged. Has anything installation wise been changed? Anything installed near the compass that wasn't...

Re: Tayana 42 or PS 37

I have a Crealock 37 that my wife and I cruise in. I generally single-hand while the Admiral enjoys the view. The boat is easy to handle and performs quite well. On the last sail of this season a...

Re: Fuel Tank

The bow tank in my 95 37' was built by Mil I Precision Corp in Garden Grove. Looks like they are still in business.

Denise 030 I don't want to spend any money let alone thousands. The bow tank...

Re: Scum in Fuel Tank

Yes, they are removable. The one in the picture came out in about 15 minutes, hardest part was working the fill hose off the pipe.

Keel tank appears to be as easy to remove.

I don't believe...

Re: Scum in Fuel Tank

The tank is made of aluminum and is very well built (Pacific Seacraft has so far impressed me with the quality of their craftsmanship).

I started seeing just a tiny bit of particulate in the bowl...

Scum in Fuel Tank

http://www.dalefalk.com/photos/i-FBWbqV8/0/L/i-FBWbqV8-L.jpg

This is one of my fuel tanks. I have no idea if it has ever been opened or cleaned. The brown film you see easily wipes off.

Is...

Since I ran the bow tank dry while leaving the harbor this weekend I thought I'd open it up and see what's inside.

Black stuff lines the tank interior with a puddle of debris in the sump. I...

Re: I Equate it to Driving in a Bad Snow Storm!

Why not reef? If you're overpowered the boat will perform better with a reef, why not reef? If you feel out of control why not reef? If you're uncomfortable why not reef? What are you gaining by...
