Can a Lewmar #43 replace a #40

The #43 Lewmar is a standard winch (non self tailing), to the best of my knowledge, there is no #43ST (self tailer). I am replacing a Lewmar 40 with a #46ST, and the mounting holes are different....

This is a solid boat, full keel, and shoal draft. It sails well, but it is not a racer - it is a comfortable cruiser. We have a Morgan 40 Ketch (vintge 1971), and plan to do the ICW and Bahamas.
