How often to change impeller?

Every year is a good idea beside breaking apart they can take a set and lose enough efficiency to allow they engine to overheat as happened once to me

I use Globe long life impellers that are good...

I don't think the fan is required by Yanmar on any of their consumer engines. I have that Yanmar on a Catalina 42 with no fan . However I do have temp and oil pressure both of which I consider...
