You should look for a beautiful Bristol Channel Cutter. My Aloha and I sail the Chesapeake Bay where the chop is serious. She is a wonderful little yacht. The best.

Dear Murphy,

Get a really good vessel that is lightly used. Look in the mid atlantic to NorthEast where the sailing season is shorter and the vessels are coddled a bit in winter.

Well having done it, about 4Kish for transport, but then there''s the decommissioning and commissioning, which even if you do most of the work, there will be yard costs on either end. Figure 7-10K....
