My Honda BF2A (2.0hp) pushes my 1000lb daysailor very well. At low rpms the prop stops spinning as if in neutral. It weighs in at 28lbs.

I'm having a problem that maybe someone can help me with. I have a McVay Minuet (18' daysailor), and my spreaders keep falling down, especially in heavier winds when my leeward shrouds go slack....
