Chartered with them 8 times in the past 9 years. Once we left it too late and couldn't get a boat so we went with Sunsail. Conch is just as good, or maybe better, and a lot cheaper. Will never go...

I sail on Ghost Lake and know the guys who operate the school well. They do an excellent job. Highly recommend!

I think most charters companies offer it or at least they can give you advice about where to look. Talk with them and see what they got.

We sail there pretty much every year.and have never purchased trip insurance. Actually we're leaving tomorrow but...

Most of us own sail boats for pleasure. If you're trying to make a sound economic investment there are a hell of a lot of better choices. Actually, pretty much anything would be a better choice....

I've chartered a lot with both Island Cruising and San Juan Sailing. Never had a bad experience with either. As a matter of fact, we have a charter with Island Cruising booked for Sept.

Watch the tide

If there is a flood there is often a back eddie that flows down the Vancouver Island coast to Race Rocks. We like to ride that and then cut across. It keeps you out of the Victoria - Port Angeles...

I leave mine up...

I do, however, run up sacrifical halyards. Any old line will work. Good quality, non stretch halyards are too expensive to leave exposed all winter if you're not sailing.

Gotta vote for Conch! Good service and reasonable prices. The boat wasn't new but we saved about $1000 compared to what The Moorings offered. I'm going back next year and it will be with Conch.

Bahamas Charter

Have a 6 day charter in the Bahamas in mid March with the "Moorings". We know nothing about the Bahamas. Any advice from those of you who have been there? Any "must see" places?
