so I'm better off using the boot rather than letting it go straight out? As it stands now there is no real way to adjust other than tying a knot in that line to something.

I have the 20 horse beta and the manual shows a dipstick and fill plug. There is only a fill plug with dipstick attached. It is a round rod with a notch in it about a half inch up from the bottom...

I have a line on the bow of my boat about a foot and a half long with a shackle on it. Is this what the po most likely used to fly his spinniker? I never have yet and I know alot of folks use poles...

You should take my job then. Just had 15 months off a few years ago. Eleven months off the last four years. Only 5 weeks off this year. Last year I had all boating season and the holidays off...

I cleaned out the raw water filter and it had about a tablespoon and a half of crap/kelp in it. About 20% clogged I would say.

Nothin, was a good year. Working in construction I have had at least three months of layoff since each year. Would prefer to work all the time but the time off is nice as well.
