Whale manual bilge pumps are what IP installs these days, as well as most boat manufacturers. Much better reliability.

On the other hand, my Raymarine E-80 chart plotter has a Navionics Gold chip, and it accounts for variation. That is handled through the Raymarine setup menu.

I use Navionics and Garmin apps on my iPad2 with cell service and internal GPS. Did you know that the Navionics app only shows True North? Don't know about the Garmin app, but assume it is the same....
