I looked at an S2 8.0A years ago with a BMW diesel. I ran away. Don't be fooled...the marinized BMW engines of 25 years ago ought not be deemed to have quality equivalence to a new 700 series BMW...

Don't know for sure on the 7.3, but on my S2 27, here's the list of fuse amperages that were OEM for the boat. I suspect the fuses must be similar on the 7.3...certainly not higher amps.
