AIS is the best thing since GPS. The big ships now know where I am because I show up on their screen and an alarm sounds if they are going to run me down. That lets them call me by name on the VHF....

People often cite Anguilla as very expensive - Actually it is FREE if you anchor in Road Bay and stay there. It is hideously expensive if you want to go elsewhere.
