on my old wooden boat the po was awesome and gave me a spool of monel sezing wire...
really expensive but worth it

I used it for a lot of stuff but this is great for rigging...and what you want...

dremel and bevel out the seam...clean dry, insert nice cherry or mahogany trim bedded in epoxy...sand and varnish over

OR

clean out, dry, caulk like a deck

or..clean out fill with thickened...

fill up with thickened epoxy let cure, redrill pot holes, install screws with your choice of bedding compound or caulk...

for thickeners I use talc and resin cause its cheap and what most boat...

sometimes its just dependant on where the sun sets on the boat...I bought a boat once that clearly had the sun damage the port side more than the stbd side simply because the boat was at that same...

take them out...on a new sheet of ply outline design...cut, seal with epoxy especially the end grains that look up at the deck where the chainplate enters and the bottom where water would pool

how are these tabbed to the hull? I see they are only bolted at the bottom how are they on top?

we just made new bulkheads on my islander 36...all of them...this looks like a walk in the park!

you can spill wind if needed on old cca boats...or any boat...

btw I want bagging davits...in fact I have them on my boat right now, they are beefy rated at 150lbs each and I just had some new mounts and backing...

way too big and you mess with boat balance, windage and performance, weight aloft can be felt greatly on small boats...

up and down actually

always good to have spreaders slightly angled up so you never have them slap down, made fast to the shoruds

the tops get more sunburnt so you reflect it off using white paint and then the bottoms look nice when looking up...you know wooden boats
