Can someone explain the difference between fraction and masthead rigs. Is the mast placed in a different location? If you have a fractional is the main larger?

slight bulge in side of boat

I wonder if it might be that it is the
result if stays being too tight for a
length of time?
But I guess that would be an indention
not a bulge.

Excessive weather helm?

If any of you have windsurfed,
you know if you lean the mast foward
you will fall off the wind.
And if you pull the mast back you will head up into the wind.
This made it easier when I was tuning...

Kaiser 26 good boat?

Thanks for the info.
This one is very pretty but
needs a complete overhaul.
Two years ago I brought back a
Soverel28 from the grave. I need a
year or two to recover from that.

Sailrite sails

Billkirk,
I just did the online quote at Airforce
sails for a soverel28 and it gave me a
price of $921. This was a Coastal Cross-cut Mainsail. I wonder why there is such a difference?

Sailrite sails

Thanks for the info,I am still on the fence.
The price for a new sail is between $1025 to $1600 for a cruising main. A kit is $734 that is quite a difference.
