Assuming you intend to make a career out of the Coast Guard instead of the marines, I would recommend you get a boat with a trailer. That way you can haul it from one duty assignment to the next....

The Banana River, it has 2 low bridges around 42' - the 520 causeway and the pineta causeway. The Indian River is the ICW (bridges 55') and is plenty deep for the boats you describe. The river looks...

Jacksonville is big city with big city traffic. Jacksonville also has dark water as does its inlet of the Saint Johns river. This dark water may stain your boat hull at the waterline, it did mine....

Then it is a no brainer. Get a 155 genoa and you have everything else in between with the simplest reefing system ever designed.
