Sort of like the question of "should we reef"? If your asking the question the answer is "yes". If you have to ask "should I go" I think the answer should default to "no". Just my humble opinion....

thanks, Doug. I found that B&G will (and did) send me a new bearing. Now to climb up and get the unit off the mast to replace it. Looks like an easy job.

Top 10 Sailboats Easiest & Best to Single Hand

Have to look at the Freedom sailboats for ease of handling and roominess. Have a 38 that we just love. Very stiff. Don't look at reefing until 24+ knots.
