Yes, I just looked at the charts, Rehoboth is 6ft to 7ft, I was thinking of the bay inside Indian River Inlet.

Add 2x4 outriggers with closed end pvc pipe, for stability. Experiment with how far out they need to be for the proposed sail.

Rehoboth Bay is shallow, a keel that takes your draft to more than 2ft will get stuck.
How about a polytarp lug sail?

The chop over a sand bar will do a lot more damage to a grounded boat than bashing through in open water.

Plain ramen noodles, bonita flakes and boiling water in a wide mouth thermos, let sit for a while. Easy food for time at the tiller. Good to add a few sardines or anchovie.
