I thin that sounds reasonable as it gives a way to address repeat offenders and get them off the water....kind of like taking the licenses away from reckless drivers on the highways.

from watching the GMA interview it's clear the captain is a jackass as well as crazy. The authorities there should impound the boat and send him home on a plane.

Okeedokee then.....the hotel in the picture is one of a handful of the original fancy beachside resorts on Florida's east coast, and this picture was taken just a couple of hours after heading south...

That idea of security being better in marinas that allow liveaboards is interesting....I like the fact that my neighbors live aboard and help keep an eye on what happens on the dock and can call me...

I don't liveaboard, but there is a $100 surcharge in my marina for those that do....water is provided as part of the slip fee but electric is metered, the County provides free pump-out service, and...

CDY - I think any of the boats you listed would be capable of taking you through the Bahamas, depending on their condition, your sailing ability, and the luck you have with weather and gear failures....
