Re: Yamaha outboard 8hp 4 stroke stolen in Chesapeake bay marina

The outboard was on an Oday 272 on my slip in Herrington Harbour North marina.
It happened between...

Core damage: understanding consequences

This question will probably horrify many, but i'd like to ask anyway in order to understand a bit more structural issues.

Let's say i have an infiltration of water in the core due to screws in the...

Re: Wind indicator NOT for mast top

It's a good point, and I agree. I should make that effort (i got the boat recently) and i will do it eventually but not in next 2-3 months, likely.

But the main point for me was the difference in...

Re: Wind indicator NOT for mast top

Yes, i saw some reviews mentioning the Wind-Tels installation is not as smooth as thought. For the direction, as long as it's understood how it works, it should not be an issue though.

On the...

Re: Wind indicator NOT for mast top

I like that and I thought about that, but how do tape compare with the other indicators i mentioned ? If really not much difference, i'll go with your advice.

The only problem.... i don't think i...

Re: best coastal usa hand gps = garmin 78sc

I use MX Mariner. I don't have problems with it, and it serves me well.

Still, as many have mentioned, i use it as a backup. When things can get wet, or just a bit rough, Garmin 78 is in my hand.

Re: railing stanchions leaks and repair?

Thanks a lot for the advice, Faster and ScottyG24. Very appreciated.

I think i will go for the Butyl tape: found a few videos on youtube EXACTLY for what i need to do it.
Now , once the leak...
