Re: 2014 Sailing Season

Steve Bisciotti probably thinks its pretty cool going to a Ravens game on his "motorboat".

I've watched from a mooring as Winning Drive headed to Baltimore from Annapolis the morning before a...

Re: Tartan 3700 issues, PLEASE!

Take a look at the Tartan 40. Not a ton of them out there, but they may give you the Tartan quality you want at a pricepoint your budget can stand.

I crewed on one for a couple of years and found...

Re: Sailing in Near Gale Conditions

Yeah, I don't want to sound like we were courting death or anything, but as a boat owner, breaking things does indeed start to weigh on your mind in these conditions.

Very important to gradually...

Re: Opinions needed on Marine Air (Dometic)

I considered them and got a quote early in my research. I liked their concept of no PCB's but their unit was over $1000 more that what I paid for the MarineAir.

Also there was some bad press...

Yeah, the helmsman catches some spray on my boat, but I'm very happy to have it(my dodger) anyway. Keeps the rest of the cockpit occupants dry and at least blocks the ones that would be like a...

Re: Opinions needed on Marine Air (Dometic)

I hope to recoup some of my costs by offering it on craigslist/e-bay/local sailing rag.

The compressor and condenser are fine and there is a brand new ~$400 control head that'll come with it. I...

Opinions needed on Marine Air (Dometic)
