Stern anchor suggestions

Whoosh,

Ah, yes. I guess it would be an important point to explain how/where I''ll be using it.

I''ll be in the Gulf/Caribbean/East Coast for the foreseeable future. The intended use for the...

Stowing glass jars

I''ve heard ''put them in socks'' but I''m not sure a sock would keep a glass jar/bottle from breaking in a locker if you were slogging into the wind in pounding waves. At least not in my salon under...

Question bout Jack Lines

Makes good sense but...

If you should only be able to get to the stemhead using all your tether, what should you have/do if you need to get to a jib out on the bowspit?

Electronic charts & SSB weather

I''ve been wondering about the Yeoman Nav Pro. Seems to be an interesting device.

Any further comment regarding its usefulness?

Question bout Jack Lines

How ''tight'' should jacklines be?

Should they be adjusted so they are ''tight'' against the deck? Or can they be somewhat ''loose & floppy'' (but obviously not so much they pose a risk of...

Those lil dinky VHF handhelds

I''m just wondering about the performance of those ''cell phone size'' VHF handhelds (vs the more standard sized ones).

While 5w might be 5w other factors impact range/clarity/etc. (battery...

Boat Choices: Double-Check

I''m kind of curious if you are going to be singlehanded why you are choosing such a large (37-43'') boat.

I''m your age, singlehanded, in decent condition and I really REALLY don''t think I''d...

I''m in 100% agreement with you. I prefer more ''objective'' info such as chartlets, approach sketches, etc. than an author that ''prattles on'' (ala C. Young).

For example, I have one of C....

Garrett asks a very good question.

I agree Group 24/27 batts for starting & T-105''s for house would be a good choice and is exactly the setup I''ll use to replace my current 2 banks of group...
