Re: Cleaning my Yanmar injectors?

Mr. Wilson, The only thing clearly evident is that you have nothing to offer. As usual, big hat, no cattle. Another assessment is simply that you are a jerk. I'll settle on the latter.

Thanks to...

Re: Cleaning my Yanmar injectors?

Casey, I've looked at most everything including what you mentioned. Everything about and around my engine is like new as the previous owner(s) was/were fastidious about rust and grime. As before my...

Re: Cleaning my Yanmar injectors?

Hi Casey, pulling the injectors took only minutes for me but I have heard that other folks have had a terrible time.

After disconnecting the fuel lines you will need to remove the two nuts that...

Re: Cleaning my Yanmar injectors?

So here is one update to my cleaning the injector post. So even though I cleaned my injectors as stated, I decided to acquire a new set just in case. That new set cost almost $600 after related parts...

Re: Cleaning my Yanmar injectors?

Thanks you guys! Yes I could have sent them out to be done but I have found that the cost for a pro rebuild was almost as much as new ones. So I thought I'd try this first. I don't believe any harm...

Re: Yanmar 2GM20F mixing elbow Pearson 31-2

Neo, I was only mad when I priced out the OEM part from Yanmar!! :-). Your concerns are valid but compensated for. Yes there is an internal pipe which extends downward from where the raw water...

Where'd my oil go?

Changed my engine oil and filter at beginning of the summer (3gm30 Yanmar) only to find when I checked it yesterday that the level was almost at the bottom of the dipstick! Good I checked it...! I...

Re: Yanmar 2GM20F mixing elbow Pearson 31-2

Here is what I did with my 3gm30. Took it out this past weekend for three days of motoring and sailing and the engine has never "seemed" to run as good! Smoother and way more cooling water and...

Re: Homemade exhaust riser outcome....

Caleb,

I used black pipe for this system. The silver is high temp paint.

A heat protecting wrap could be used though I am not sure it would be any more needed than on the Yanmar edition...

Re: C&C 34+ (or 34/36 or 34 Plus) wing keel question

All I can say is that mine, with the deep keel and bulb, is the fastest racer/cruiser in the up to 36' range I've ever been on. Hit 7.7 knots last weekend in a strong breeze, loaded, pulling dinghy....

Cleaning up the Teak and Holly

In my "new" 23 year old C&C the wood sole is looking pretty sad. As I am not planning on "pimping out this ride" I don't want to totally peel the wood with a heat gun and start afresh. Thinking about...
