I cut a 5" inspection port in the transom (here's the trick) "above" the waterline...

That way if the boat ever fills with water, I just pull the cover on the port and it'll all drain out..

I'm not much of a seat belt (or helmet) person if I can avoid it, but to keep the "man" happy (and the wife) I wear the belt...Most of my sailing is day sailing relatively calm conditions...not much...

Running lights would be all three red and green up front and white at rear

Bow light would be your " steaming light" white off front of mast

Mast light would be "anchor light" white on top of...

Interesting comparison..torque to HP wise..

I see 25# thrust as slightly slower and less powerful than 2hp gas...

Would it be fair to extrapolate 50# thrust would be very close to 3hp in terms...

We started talking 3-4 hp motors and then started comparing electric 50# 65# 68# thrust

Thanks to google images and you tube DIY videos, I was able to construct a mount for my dinghy...

It attaches to the back of the boat on two mounting lugs and is supported, reinforced with copper...
