You would be reducing sail area and the gain by having the square head would be offset by the drag caused by the bare mast.

If it has the original OMC saildrive. I would stay away, there are no parts available and a repower would cost twice the worth of the boat

12.8 is a 100% charge on that battery what is it reading now? how low did it go when you were using them? I think the 10 amp charger is not up the task if you ran them down low. if run down to 50% it...

how old are the batteries? what is the normal DC voltage reading with the charger on. charger has a float voltage of 13.4 which is to low for those batteries, for those batteries it should be around...
