The type of clamp you pictured are made by ABA but they are for small fuel lines etc.. For larger clamps AWAB clamps are about the best you will find.

Spin on filters work in any orientation - that's why I can't understand some of the manufacturers - my Perky had it at a 45 degree down angle - impossible to remove it without it draining all over...
