Maybe the states bordered by the rivers infested by the Carp should put a bounty on them. Like $10 to $20 per hundred weight of A. Carp caught. That will help some.

Gish! I used the Houston Marine books while working as an instructor for those who needed the licenses. 100, 200 ton and an occasional six pax.
So check with Houston marine and other schools to see...

lister out of UK makes nice hand cranked diesels.

Crank hard
then close the compression release.

I sailed with a third mate many years ago that was working on the President lines, way before electronic navigation.
Any way, during the winter they sailed the trunticated GC route from San Franciso...

South Shore Harbor Marina has ten foot depth. My boat draft is 5.5 ft.... So no worries there for me.
And there are new beneaus here that don't have any problems either.
