Did you report it to the appropriate LEOS? USCG, Sheriff, Marine Patrol, etc. They might have arrested a drunk with damage to his bow during that time period.

Serious? Who knows? The purpose of keeping the fiberglass sealed is to keep water from saturating the fiberglass. If the raw fiberglass is exposed I would seal it with some epoxy now.

Assuming the white spot is intact gel coat it'll be fine until spring, just keep the barnacles etc. scraped off.
If the damage has gone through the gel coat to raw fiberglass you can always put...

Mistake # 1 - kayaks in a breeze. You could have cancelled.

Mistake # 2 - a monohull instead of a catamaran. If it's not too late to change you might want to do so (if it's in the budget).

Current information on the Okeechobee Waterway depths, locks, maintenance schedule, etc. can be obtained from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville, Fl. office.

A cover on your dinghy can definitely help keep the rain out, especially if you use some bows to keep the cover arched so water won't pool.
If nothing else it should keep your dinghy from getting...
