My 46 foot 12.5 wide with shallow 5 foot draft (less than 13.5 on the trailer) was $4500 18 months ago from Maryland to Monroe Michigan
The height will raise the price a lot if over the 13.5

Re: 10K$ boat --- Are Insurance and Survey REALLY mandatory?

Home Owners Insurance
Many home owners policies cover liability insurance for sailboats up to 23 or 26foot. Check with your agent & see if you are covered.
Save your money and don't buy insurance...

Don't set your boat on fire. Place a hair blow dryer in the engine compartment aimed at the intake manifold for about 10 min , should start like a warm engine.

Don't go with just 3 points holding the boat.

From your pics I see you have vc17 it only takes a couple of hours to do , save it till the spring. like others have said just scuff the surface...

Re: Wind-vane now? Or wait for next boat?

If adjusting the wheel pilot doesn't help with the power consumption, another battery bank is much cheaper than a wind vane and any future buyer would probably much rather have the extra amps.
