Its hard to tell from the photo, mahogany perhaps. I often smell the wood as a way to determine what it is. Teak has a musty type of smell wile mahogany is more peppery and spicy.

If it is indeed plastic West Systems G/flex is what your looking for. It works on HDPE, LDPE, ABS, PVC, and polycarbonate. I believe Sandpipers are made out of ABS plastic.
