I think that makes much more sense and will meet your needs pretty well (no dinghy meets all needs).

If you want to do this you'll have to build adapter plates to mount them on, but then they will not sit flush on the cabin side. Probably a good source of leaks, so you might want to think very...

3M Doodlebug pads and holders
Suction cup
3M wire brush w/scraper
6" scraper
5-in-1 tool
Flathead screwdriver...
