Hi... I'm happy to reset your password (just PM me) but I'm planning on shutting down the BB in the near future. This BB is doing a much better job of engaging PSC enthusiasts! Let me know what you...

Re: Thinking about the PSC community.

:) So I was thinking a fall float-in in the Boston area and a winter meeting (sans boats) in the Boston area as well.

I like your idea of a float-in/rendezvous in California as well. Pick a...

Re: Thinking about the PSC community.

Sorry about that. Not the best tech support and that's my fault. I tried to filter out spammers and you got caught up in that. I'm sure that didn't help!

Will Muir Hercules windlass gypsy 5/16 3B work with 5/16 HT?

The IMTRA rep said that it would, I'm wondering if anyone has experience with this.

Thinking about the PSC community.

Hi Folks,

I run the pacificseacraftowners.org website/board but this board is much more active so I'm thinking about shutting down the board on that website.

It's clear there is interest in a...

Re: Dutchman Boom Brake Installation

I like simple. OK did you attach the lines to the boom vang?

I'm assuming you have one line loose and the other tight when you are on one tack, and vice-versa on the other tack?

After the...

Re: Dutchman Boom Brake Installation

It's a little trickier on a PS because the chainplates are on the outside of the boat... so the block & tackle solution creates a mess of lines on deck... I think that's why the Dutchman installation...

Thanks for the information!

Did you put padeyes and on the roof and attach the block/tackle there or did you put blocks at the bottom of one of the stays?

Dutchman Boom Brake Installation

I'm thinking of buying one of these... but I can't quite picture where the attachment points will be on the boom and deck. The installation manual recommends setting up padeyes on boats like PS, but...

Re: Steering cable adventure...

Thanks so much for that confirmation. I agree that the cross might create friction which is why I didn't cross the cable when I reinstalled it.

I had the boat out yesterday in small craft...

Re: Steering cable adventure...

Thanks for the thought!

I'm wondering if anyone else out there with a Yacht Specialties pedestal has replaced the steering cable and knows if the cable has to be crossed inside the pedestal.

I spoke to Edson and although they didn't have a direct replacement cable, they said they could make me one or send me one that I could cut to size. I spent a lot of time below decks getting the...

Re: Storm trysail for PS37/Crealock 37

I'm chiming in with thoughts from a PSC34 owner.

In 25 knots of wind on my PSC34 it's time to tuck in a second reef.

I had three reefs in my main. I have been out in winds up to 35 knots,...

Re: PacificSeacraftOwners.org

The blog list is dormant, the isp double the cost of hosting the board and the website and the blog list... however, I'll work on resurrecting that on the board instead.
