From what I have seen in wooden boats so far are really "projects" and what I hear is they are always projects. And living aboard dealing with musty odors from leaks or rot...might not be conducive...

Yo scratch... thanks for the post and I figure that if I own the 38-40 footer and supply the food and goodies....I can find an experienced crew to go out and "teach" the old man how to do it.
