I can't imagine it weighing more than a ton MAX including the trailer. An S-10 should be fine.

And it should sail fine. Modern dinghy builders know what works and what doesn't.

I agree with them, though. Get a 25' boat in really nice shape. Maintenance/upkeep will be a LOT lower, and you get a better quality boat to start with.
