Re: 3GM30F exhaust specs

Yes, I have a 2" outlet off of the wet muffler with a 2"-1 1/2" reducer and then the 8'-9' long 1 1/2" exhaust hose to a 1 1/2" through hull fitting.
I have run the motor many times at 2700 rpm all...

Re: 3GM30F exhaust specs

Our boat has a 3GM30f in it.
The o/o replaced the original Atomic 4 with a 3GM but did not change the exhaust outlet hose or through hull. Yes there is a 1/2" difference in the exhaust diameter. It...

Re: yanmar 2QM20 to 3GM30F repower

Our C&C 32 was upgraded from it's original A-4 to a 3GM30F. The shaft was replaced from it's original 7/8" to a 1" diameter shaft and a fixed 3 blade prop of an unknown size. The motor itself is a...

Re: Tohatsu 18hp tale of woe

A 100:1 is a pretty lean mix, is that what is recommended by the manufacturer?
All of our two strokes at work run on 40:1 or richer. Yes they smoke but they keep running.
Personally, I would rather...

Re: Major problem in mexico

I've been following this situation as well. Although it was a Mexican official who made an error on their paperwork it is up to the individual to make sure their papers are in order. Sadly, ignorance...

Re: Major problem in mexico

I'm not a bigot. You asked a question and you got an honest answer you didn't want to hear.
You ask any non-American that question and you will get the same answer.

Re: Major problem in mexico

It's because, as a whole, Americans take on a holier than thou attitude about others when their own situation isn't any better, and in some cases is much worse than other countries.

Re: Tohatsu 18hp tale of woe

If it stills turns over but won't fire it is probably because of a fouled plug from too much oil mixed in the gas.
Pull the plug, clean it up and remix some gas with the proper ratio of gas and...

Re: Major problem in mexico

Exactly, the 50 caliber machine gun mounted on the bow of most, if not all USCG ships is not just a conversation piece.
It's there for a reason.

Re: Major problem in mexico

This is what I understand as well.
The people who had the proper paperwork in place have had their issues resolved and the few who had discrepancies in their paperwork have not had their issues...

Why don't you take your "adolescent" rant and post it on the "Idiots Are Us" website. They need more people like you.
And really, been to Detroit lately?
The cops won't even go into some...

We are on a...

Re: ST4000 autohelm to Garmin echo50s

I have an older Autohelm ST4000 but I am pretty sure it is not NMEA 0183 compatible. Maybe, but I'm pretty sure it is not.
If you do get this working that would be very cool. Keep us posted.

He sold it...

Re: Yanmar 1GM10 runaway?

The manual say's your engine only holds 1.3 litres of oil. Removing 30-50% of the oil will probably solve the problem.
If the oil doesn't have a diesel smell to it then you might want to fix the...
