Re: Add Sta-bil to gas or not?

Re: Adventure Anchoring for the first time in big water

We tried anchoring 1 night in Spanish Town in a "Jeanneau 36i" in February. We couldn't get the delta set after 3 attempts. Jim back at Pro Valor charters did tell me it is one of the toughest places...

Re: CS 30 - basic info needed

Hull is solid, nor balsa core. Deck is balsa cored but solid along the perimeter where the toe rail bolts thru and the genoa track portions are solid. Note sure at the chain plates.
Cockpit drain...

Re: Air vent for water tank on cs30

On the 30 the tank vent runs up behind the cabinet in the head. It runs as high as the underside of the deck and then loops downward for 5 to 6 inches. if you overfill the tank it will dribble into...

Re: Zebra Mussels - Lakes

20 years ago Lake Ontario was viewed by many to be grossly polluted, they wouldn't go any where near it. Now when we have non boat friends out on the boat they are amazed how beautiful the water is.

New to CS30

HiGordZ Yes, it is going to the top of the engine compartment. It ends up being about 12 inches above the water line. I have a loose threaded cap at the top so that air can bleed out but not water

Re: Thermal imaging cameras for checking decks and hulls for moisture

A thermal imaging camera uses infrared radiation to compose an image. Surfaces at different temperature give off different levels of IR. A wet core wouldn't necessarily affect the surface temp of the...

I believe when you wire batteries in series you double the voltage but the amp hour capacity remains the same.
Eg. 2 x ( 6volt, 240 amp hour) = 12 volts at 240 amp hours.

When you wire batteries...

Re: overpropped vs underpropped

I test pumps and fluid flowrates for a living. Centrifugal pumps and fans operate with direct proportional flow rate vs rpm.
Decrease a pump by 15% rpm and you get 15% less flow.
