I can't help other than to say I have a Tartan 30 and it is a fast, dependable tank. I think this results in a shade less livability, but you'll have to check both boats for your comfort level.

A while back someone mentioned using a modified 'aircraft' sharing plan which would be pretty...

1st harmonic curve in job?

Tongue-in-cheek title but it is a way to describe what happened while sailing yesterday.

How does a supermaxi sail?

Hey Gang,

Just looking at this boat makes my pulse quicken. How do you sail such a beast? It seems to have about 3x the mast height that I do on my sloop. What would you do if you got overpowered?...

Sloop rigged with loose-footed main (no boom)?

Just idly thinking... what would be the disadvantage of having no boom on say, a 30' sloop?

There'd be no danger of bonking heads during coming about, and I suppose you could rig a shackle to pull...

Hi I am helping a very good friend that I'm sharing slip fees with. I don't have any equity in the boat, just full access to it.

I think it works if there is trust and fairness involved.
