The Manson is not a copy of the Rocna. It is a much better anchor. Rocna's were good until they started making them in China. Now they sell a knock off of their own anchor.

I agree a Catalina 30 would be a good boat to start out with. Buy one in really good condition. It will have better resale value.

Bad Zinc

I hauled last month and replaced zinc in the shaft had to haul yesterday and the new zinc is half gone. Only 15 days in the water and all at sea not in a marina.

Do all of the marine Heads. Par, Jabsco, Raritan.(bowls) have the same footprint? Will the 4 bolt holes line up? Can I use a Pat or a Jabsco bowl on a Raritan head?

Head pump not working

I have a Raritan PH2 head less then 2 years old and it takes 15 to 20 pumps to flush it. Sometimes it backs up. I replaced the joker valve, no help. Someway to clean out hose? acid?
