Lake Geneva to Med...
Is it possible to take canals from Lake Geneva to the Rhone? and on down to the Med? If yes, resources would be great.
Thanks,

Installing tranny on Yanmar 2ym15 ... should I?
I am considering upgrading the Yanmar 1GM10 on my 30 foot Dufour Arpege to a Yanmar 2YM15 for a little more omph. My question is ... according to the dealer, the tranny is the same on both engines....

Loss of power on a Yanmar 1GM10?
Would a clogged up mixing elbow cause loss of power on a Yanmar 1GM10? This loss has been extremely gradual.

So keep the heeling under 20-25 degrees by flattening the main or trimming the traveler. Great. I can do that. In fact I just rigged my traveler with lines for adjusting.

When to reef?
OK. I like sailing when the wind is blowing. In my Dufour Arpege, I rarely feel like I'm being overpowered or headed-up. However, I've noticed in the odd race, when its blowing over say 20 kts. that...

Dufour Arpege lead car question...
The sheaves on my lead cars are pretty rough. Does anyone know who manufactured these lead cars ... circa 1972? If not, has anyone replaced theirs? Where did you find them?
Thanks,
Lawson

Has anyone installed an adjustable traveler on a Arpege? If so, how did you set it up? Are you happy with it?
