It appear as though the company that provides our Chat feature recently updated their software and now one of their modules is being 'mis-classified' by Norton/Symantec and possible containing a virus. Until they have this resolved we have de-activaed chat. We've opened a support incident with Envolve and they will hopefully have this corrected soon.

I can't see the pics on my iPhone app, but check your stuffing box. Mine was dripping about once a second when the boat was launched this year, and I was amazed how much water built up in a short...

Wheel Pilot Control Head - Where to place?
I'll advocate for putting it on the bulkhead, under the dodger. It sure is nice to steer from a sheltered position on the nasty days.

I live just across the bridge from Newport, and I'm pretty sure people from providence think that Newport and Bermuda are the same place, just some island off the coast. Just like to us, Providence...

Ever been injured on your boat? Just happened to me.
Nothing major for me, but at work we frequently get called out to meet an inbound boat with some kind of injury aboard. The one that sticks in my mind: the skipper of a 40+ foot sloop got his hand...

Chapter 1: Our first cruise
Good write up. You might look up how to tie a rolling hitch. Allows you to tie a line above the winch, relieve the tension, and clear the override. That's something that will happen again.

I don't know of any exclusion zone. The only thing I've ever been told when I'm anchoring there is to not tie up to the seawall. Last year we went over to anchor and ended up just sailing circles...

The anchorage will be packed, and will be a total s!?t show in my opinion. Moorings in the harbor are first come, first served, so most will be gone a day or two early. Your best bet might be to find...

Hey Jamie,
I sail out of Clark boat yard on the east side of Jamestown. Maybe I'll see you out this summer. Where do you keep the boat?

Raw Water Cooled for 35 Years?
My 1978 San Juan had the original yanmar raw water cooled diesel in it. That engine ran like a top. I never had one issue with it, besides a problem caused by some bad fuel. As long as it is...

The last 3ft (mast work)
Shouldn't be a problem. But you do have to stand up in the foot straps and kind of get up out of the seat to get over the mast head. The last few feet can be tough because the ascenders on the ATN...

That will definitely void the warranty. You could make an extension with a female plug end that would connect to the breaker panel.
