I like the idea but am skeptical of the durability. The stays cop a lot of rubbing from the head sail as can be seen by the wear on the sails clew and leech. Also the genoa lines rub.

Do it up finger tight, with a new olive. With a spanner/wrench nip til it feels secure then only a 1/4 turn to finish.

There must be a reason that a large majority of cook top/stoves are LPG and cabin heating is Diesel. Trying to buck the trend is pointless follow the sheep, keep your cabin warm and dry with Diesel...
