Little late but the Hughes 25 has a builders plate with the hull number on the tiller pedestal, nothing is molded into the transom , at least as far along as hull 128.

Most auto glass places have it.. $10.00 for a 25 ft roll here (Ontario, Canada) at Speedy Auto Glass so maybe 5 bucks american.:) Comes in black or grey and the only big trick is a clean surface.

I think he means his pleasure craft operators card, mandatory sometime in October this year for anything with a motor on the water. Not much to it, actually its harder to get a drivers licence.

If you learned on a shark you'll have no trouble with the Ercison as far as sailing her goes but she will feel a little sluggish in comparism. Docking and mooring will be a little less responsive too...
