Re: GPS a bit bigger then I expected

Re: GPS a bit bigger then I expected

I think you'll be able to see everything you want with that one. :D

I've seen them in a West Marine. Quite large. Been looking at going from a Garmin 546s to something slightly larger, maybe 7".

Re: So this happened here yesterday.

I agree that they shouldn't be on the water again and would hope this to be a warning to others to pay attention and to adjust their handeling of the boat to the conditions they're in.

Those of us...

Re: Dock Etiquette While Working

If it's a concern, would you be able to leave the dock to go somewhere more secluded to do the work so you don't bother anyone else?

Re: Engine hour meter - how important for resale and options

makes sense.

I found out AFTER i bought my boat that the hour meter wasn't working. Still had the same hours from when the PO had his purchase survey on her. I was able to trace the wires and...

Re: Air Head Composting Toilet or Similar Mfg.

Re: A rigging option?

Replace it immediately, as mentioned above.

When I bought my boat, I knew I'd have to replace my rigging. It had Norseman fittings but the fittings and the wire all had rust all over them. I got...

Re: yes another help me find the perfect boat....

What you really need to do is a HELL of a lot of research. Which sounds like you've started, but it doesn't end even after you buy. Gotta research how to fix/maintain things too.

Get ON the boats...

Re: Inspiration for the Young Punks

I've only seen their site a couple times in the past.

Re: Huge price drop on Standard Horizon HX851

Last Friday, I had a West Marine email for one of their...

Re: How poor is the average liveaboard cruiser?

It all goes into the commercial programing telling us what we "need" when we don't and that we can't possibly be satisfied until we get that brand new "(insert item)".

It plays into the...

Re: How did you get your spouse to embrace the cruising life?

I've told my wife that I wanted to cruise or at least start with some overnights at anchor. She's not a fan of those ideas and thinks a day trip for a couple hours is good enough. I showed her the...
